Sorry for the spam, but maybe in this channel I would get Nifflas read this comment... I discovered his work with Knytt Underground (I played on Wii U demo version), I remember perfectly that I played at night and after giving it a try the next day I kept with the intrigue about the full version... I went to work, and during the day I looked at his previous work... and I just kept interested more and more for the game. When I got home, I bought the game, and basically my Wii U was a console just to play Knytt. After that I discover Affordable Space Adventures (WiiU), then Uurnog (Switch), Siria (PC) and Ynglet (Xbox).

This week I played Crypt Custodian, an indie game with a kind of nostalgic music and strange scenarios, playing this game, I remembered that I would love to play Knytt again (I know there is a version on Steam, and I tried to play it on Steam Deck, but the experience is not the best)...

...and checking the itch page, looks that all the previous games kept in the past. I would love to see a native version of Knytt on Xbox / PS / Switch (Specially for Xbox, where I keep all my library and the games have achievements... I especially remember that I left a lot of missing things after beating the game and the save game was lost).

If the author reads this, I totally get that you are doing other things, and you are focused on more interesting things now. I just want to let you know that the fandom of Kyntt is still alive. Regards!

Not what I expected, but that was indeed very welcomed. Hooked me immediately.

This is an incredibly goofy game, I love it. Had zero clue what I was getting into.

Thank you so much! Yeah, we definitely wanted to make it a surprise!

Did you leave the GameDev Mastodon??

Yeah, sorry! I'm taking a break from social media right now.

Could you send me a profanity-free version?

A version like that is not planned. If the game were rated though, it'd be rated something like 12 for mild swearing at most.

The language doesn't actually bother me, but it gets in the way of me being able to bundle it with other games.

(+1)

I totally understand! But it's totally OK if it's not in an particular bundle. This is the game we wanted to make, and I wouldn't really want to change it for that :)

i have played this game when it came out and randomly rememberd it like 3 hours ago

and 3 hours it took to find it

worth it

linux version would be cool, right now executing with wine makes the webcam a black box

Yeah, it's probably because Unity uses the operating system's video API to read the video, so Wine would need mp4/H.264 support. I'll make a Linux build one day if I get the time to allocate to learn installing and building on Linux. I've been unsuccessful the past times I tried some Linux distros (driver compatibility issues every time), but it might work on my new PC?

So damn good. I've played your games for a long time and used to find so  many secrets. Anything hidden in this? I noticed no ufos in the highscore mode btw.

(+1)

There are no secret areas in this one. But some really neat skips are possible in high score mode (especially when exploiting the pause momentum trick), and some whacky score names if you can come up with a way to get really high scores.

Been playing your games since Knytt back in 2007 I think, so cool to see you still making really cool games like this, thank you!

One of the coolest gaming experiences! Such a cool idea, thanks for making this!

This was great - found it after it was mention on the Egg Plant Show games of the year episode and very glad I checked it out.
